Week 15

Click Here to view my new webpage

Assignment: Create an iWeb page about your projects and ourselves.

Craft: Utilize the iWeb Program to mold our website to be as unique as possible.

Composition: I went home and checked my webpage on a computer ourside the lab after publishing it on Monday. I did recognize some small problems. For example, I corrected the slide show presentation to fill the whole screen. I deleted my Youtube video that would not work. I also edited some of the fonts. I added and edited the link names to and from my blog and and Iweb page. Now, you can access anything from either page. I think I am finally finished with this project.

Concept: The idea behind this assignment is to be able to build our own network where we can view everyone's work and webpages. Part of the project was to try and separate ourselves from each other by coing up with orginal concepts for our website.

  1. Craft: I like the simplicity of your blog; the black and white. it really helps to make your pictures stand out. I also liek how big you made your pictures for each week entry. It made me intrigued and made me want to look at your site. also, your week 12 was interesting to me. week 11 made me want to read your whole comic.

Composition: You have several links that leads to your website, making it seem important and something we have to see. Your picture as a link is interesting, which also made me want to check it out. Your blog/site is also very consistant, which is helpful when trying to read it.

Concept: the point of this blog it to show off his artwork and explain to his peers either why he did the projects, how he did them, and the challenges he faced while doing them. it is also a good chance for peopel to get to know who they are as people, not just artists. With links to his profile, we can get to know him as a person a little better.

  2. Craft- Like Katie, I really do dig the black and white color combination. The black background and white lettering makes for a very easy to read website with no strain on the eyes. Your "An Unpleasant Surprise" picture makes me want to click on your website link and the title is enticing as well.

Composition- Everything runs smoothly with little or no hassle. I can tell by browsing your blog entries that you took your work seriously. Your pictures standout but do not take away from your written text. Kudos!

Concept- The purpose of this blog is for the blogger to showcase his artwork throughout the course of a semester. In addition, he also had to write about the entire process each week. The simple layout makes it really easy to read and understand. Also, there's an About Me section that you have with a picture where viewers of your blog are able to get to know you better. This is important because readers are able to put a face to your artwork.

  4. Best Comic Display!

Craft- He used blogger and upload in order to post his comic on his blog. He created his comic on comic life and had to save it as a jpg and reduce the quality before being able to upload it.
Composition- I like the way he shows his comic in multiple blog entries, in his final blog entry, and as his link to his website.
Concept- The repetitiveness of the comic makes me believe he spent a lot of time on it and is proud of it. I like that he uses a motif throughout the blog.
